Actually, I often refer to him as "Dr. Bobby Hunny" (mostly, just Robert)...my husband of 28 years, as of yesterday, gave me my favorite roses...yellow....
As a young girl, growing up on a farm in Kansas, my Mama always put them in my room on my birthday, as we had a yellow rose bush....brings back loving memories....
LOVE TRULY DOES MAKE THE WORLD GO ROUND...AND ROUND...AND ROUND
Lovely photos! Thanks for sharing. I also have very fond memories of flowers, one of yellow roses as well! My first grown up house was a row home in Quakertown, about 40 mile north of Philadelphia. A previous owner had planted a yellow climbing rose in the yard. I trained it to bow over my walk. It was the highlight of my tiny back yard. Flowers are a real blessing from above!
How beautiful!!! Happy Anniversary to you and your sweetie, Jessica!
Oh, and let me know if there is anything I can do to help you with Pinterest - I'd be more than happy to. My email is: acottageinthewoods.zuzu@gmail.com
Zuzu, THanks you!!! I love it when you stop by... It was a happy anniversary...
I am starting a new painting, and will focus more on Pinterest (which I find very interesting) later..but, count on hearing from me...you are so good at these things. XOXOX Jessica
Georgetown...several years ago my hubby and I stayed there at a Bed and Breakfast....The only rosebush my mother had when I was growing up was yellow. I have fond memories of my mother cutting a flower off and wrapping it up in a wet paper towel for me to take to my teacher. She did that every year. When she died I planted a yellow rosebush in memory of her.
Donna, Georgetown....I know of a few B&B's - hope you enjoyed it. I am glad that you have those memories about your mother...we cling to those when we are sad and miss them (and we will always miss them)..thanks for stopping by. XOXO Jessica
Some may notice I've recently changed this profile, simply because life changes...I've become a Texan through- and -through...living just outside of the wonderful city of Austin...Since moving here five years ago, I've become who I was before I left the South (having lived in Boston, Wisconsin, et al), where things are not as relaxed. I love it here.
I have always been involved in the arts..Interior Design, Photography, Photo Styling, Artist, Floral Designer, Gardener, writer...That's the ETC. in my business, and in my life...also, being a Gemini, I can happily move back-and-forth; for me, change is good...death is doing the same thing day in and day out....welcome to my world...
Lovely photos! Thanks for sharing.
