Some New Some Not So New

For a very long time, I had this flying sheep over my bed.  My first intention was to reproduce him, and have three, flying sheep...Never did - and as they say, "the cobbler's children have no shoes"...I was busy with other's homes.

I decided that since I was a big girl now, a bit of sophistication was called for...I will always love my Country French, pine bed, but I love black-and-white, and I make window treatments, and love color blocking, as you will see.  I also love stripes...and did it ever pop with the fuscia!
I experimented with having white sheers over the bed, and liked it, and my husband was'nt wild about the fuschia, so the experiment continued...(For a designer, this is called "playing")
I decided this "Sophisticated Lady", was more appropriate than "flying sheep". Still, I don't have the heart to get rid of him...I am going to paint him with chalkboard paint, and put him in my office as the "black sheep" of the family.

I think for the holidays, it's time for another look.
I do love red....

Here's The Thing

There's been so much happening: My business partnership is being dissolved (just didn't work out the way we had hoped)...My cat died...and the whole thing is starting to sound like a poorly-written Country-Western lament.

I am also having issues with Google..who will let me use my identity and password to access my blog, and to moderate comments..just won't accept my answers..no time right now to deal with it...so, please know that I appreciate any comments, and hope you will welcome me "Home"...and no, if you click on that "home", you don't go anywhere...

Here's a few things I've been working on: more later...

Little, Blind Cat Gussie is Gone

There is a tiny, little furry body, wrapped in a towel, resting for the last time on our hearth. We lost our little Gussie during the night. She was sixteen, and had a hard time for many years not being afraid of everyone except me. When she went blind two years ago, a sort of miracle happened. She came out from under the bed, and spent the last two years, being loved and loving.
Rest in Peace our darling girl.
